Recap
Leaving mainland Sweden!
We took the ferry to Gotland and arrived in the late afternoon to the quaint little golf resort of Gumbalde, located in the village of Stånga on the southern half of the island. We were only supposed to have dinner the first day but the early summer evening and a silent golf course was too compelling to resist and we managed to get a a deal on a quick 9 holes warm-up. The course was maybe not the most exciting we have played but the first hole being a par 3 through some trees was at least fun and unconventional, and an interesting combo with the first tee nerves.
The next day we played the first real round, not much to report other than that the weather was nice and living at the golf course means unlimited beer in the bags (especially some of them).
After debriefing the round over some refreshments we went into Visby for dinner. The night ended at a taqueria with margaritas, churros and Bäckman on the congas.
Next morning we played another round where Sebastian managed to protect his lead securing the winners hat, a bao-decorated bucket hat in honor of last year's favorite dish.
